Face-down Monster Cards cannot be equipped with Equip Cards; if a monster equipped with an Equip Card(s) is flipped face-down, the Equip Card(s) equipped to that flipped monster is destroyed. Link Monsters cannot be placed face-down.
What happens when a monster is flipped face down?
When a monster is equipped with an Equip Card, if the monster is flipped face-down or removed from the field, then the Equip Card is destroyed.
What happens when an attack position monster attacks a defense position monster?
If a Defense Position monster is attacked and the attack target’s DEF is greater than or equal to the attacking monster’s ATK, then the attacking monster’s controller takes battle damage equal to the difference between the attacking monster’s ATK and the attack target’s DEF, but neither monster is destroyed.

It’s important to remember that a monster Set on the field in face-down Defense Position IS NOT considered Summoned. It has been Set and can be Summoned with a Flip Summon or flipped face-up by an attack or card effect.

Can you change a monster to defense position after attacking with it?
Each monster’s battle position can only be changed manually once per turn. If a monster is Summoned, Normal Set, or declares an attack (even if the attack was negated or cancelled due to a replay), it cannot manually change its battle position for the rest of that turn.
Can you super poly face down?
You can Super poly your own face down monsters, you can not super poly your opponents face down monsters.
Can you Monster Reborn XYZ monster?
Xyz Monsters can be revived with cards like Monster Reborn and Call of the Haunted, just like any other monster, but if you do that, they don’t have any Xyz Materials attached to them and you can’t use their effects.
